Globelight’s month long program of events reaches a peak this coming weekend with a 3 day light and sound festival at the Abbotsford Convent. Complimentary to the gallery show, the Convent plays host to larger installations, and light and sound works by Paul Kirk, Sean Diamond, Point of View Lighting, Kate Geck and others. 14 artists in all will exhibit works to delight and dazzle you while you stroll throughout the grounds of one of Melbourne’s most iconic historical institutions.

On Friday and Saturday night The Shadow Electric Bar presents live performances by Eagle and The Worm, Skyscraper Stan, Abre Ojos, Tin Lion, The Quayle Project amongst others, while on Sunday you can be enlightened by a night of experimental film, curated by Richard Haridy, chair of the Australian Film Critics’ Association.

With an architectural lighting display by Point of View, and food by the Little Devil food Truck, Globelight at the Abbotsford Convent is an event for everyone.
